Responsibilities

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Basic Function – Assist in the day-to-day management of a location ensuring that bell operations are handled within contractual guidelines of the specific location, adhering to company policies and procedures, fostering good client relations and promoting a professional image and approach to the business.

 

  • Greet guests courteously.
  • Ensure customers are receiving timely service.
  • Assist customers checking-in and out of the hotel.
  • Load, unload and retrieve customer’s belongings from bell cart in a safe and professional manner.
  • Assist with hiring, training, and coaching an excellent bell team.
  • Create a staffing schedule according to the anticipated daily occupancy.
  • Maintain full compliance to the standard operating procedures, while ensuring the safety and security of guest belongings at all times.
  • Ensure that the bell stand area and bell closet are clean of debris.
  • Create and implement a successful staging plan, utilizing all aspects of the locations layout to ensure maximum luggage capacity.
  • Substitute for any position, if necessary.
  • Complete other duties as needed.

 

Note:  Please note that the title for this position in our payroll system is Supervisor.

Education/Experience - Minimal high school diploma or equivalent and a minimal 12 month related experience or training.

Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively; Able to read and interpret written information.

 

Customer Service – Maintains positive attitude. Responds to requests for service and assistance professionally and courteously.

Judgment - Exhibits sound and accurate judgment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects and to talk.  The employee will walk and run for extended periods of time to park and retrieve customer vehicles; including the use of stairs and elevators.

 

The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
