    What do I do as a Parking Enforcement Ambassador?

    As our newest team member, you will be an integral part of monitoring designated streets, lots, garages, other public areas and/or an entire campus to ensure compliance with parking policies.

    Some duties include:

    • Providing customer service by answering questions regarding directions, events, building locations and parking policies.
    • Issuing citations and warnings for non-compliance with a computerized hand held computer or manual tickets.
    • Impound or boot as directed.
    • Operating City vehicles with care. 
    • Exercising proper judgment, tact and diplomacy in dealing with people.

     

    * Please note that Enforcement Officers are not sworn police officers and have no arresting authority.

    Essential Qualifications:

    1. Associate will be required to obtain the Parking Enforcement certification prior to starting work.
    2. Ability to communicate effectively in English in both written and oral forms.
    3. GED or High School Diploma.
    4. Strong ability to compute financial data as it coordinates with time.
    5. Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions.
    6. Ability to use a hand held computer.
    7. Ability to effectively use email and basic software programs.
    8. Ability to effectively and safely operate a motor vehicle.
    9. Ability to understand and apply parking regulations and rules.
    10. Must be at least 18 years of age.
    11. Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
    12. Must have a professional appearance and demeanor.
    13. Drug test and criminal review will be administered.

     

    Physical requirements:

    1. Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 6 or 8 hours, less break)
    2. Ability to walk for extended periods of time
    3. Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
    4. Ability to work in extreme elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, ect.

    Classification:

    Non-exempt.

    Hourly Wage
